Pros

The people are very nice and the fact that it is fully remote is a great thing.

Cons

Current CEO Johnny Page doesn't know what he is doing when it comes to marketing. They hired a bunch of video editors out of nowhere, so the work got diluted, then fired most of them out of nowhere. During the time I was in there, I noticed Johnny Page would often make decisions based on what he thought was best and then roll back to the way things were. I was editing ads, internal training videos, and the podcast. Because of the amount of editor he started hiring, then there would be almost months without any work. He fired some managers, tried to outsource some of the video editing, didn't work, so he hired people again and the editing on the podcast was being handled internally again. He would constantly say that he didn't like the way the podcast was performing, even though it was more the fact that he was never a good host and the podcast was simply way too niche as well. He was expecting the podcasts to be as big as the Diary of a CEO in the first episode when launched. The first episode went live and it didn't blow up, so he fired everyone involved and all the people that he had overhired. It is kind of disappointing because you think that you are going to have a great experience in a company Dan Martell founded, but then you get this very weak leadership and "blaming" behavior. I believe CEOs shouldn't know everything about everything, but very basic concepts like what video editing actually is and the responsibilities a video editor has vs the responsibilities of a manager, is in my opinion, basic things you should know. Video editors will follow instructions from creative direction, head of marketing or managers. Video editors are not involved in strategy, so if something is not working, the strategy needs to be reviewed, not the people putting the video together.
