Pros

I was looking to make a career move to an organization that I could grow with and be an asset. I could not be any happier with my decision. I feel that this organization has allowed me to develop professionally and personally beyond my expectations. The management is very fair, understanding, and more than willing to give you the tools you need to be successful. Hard work is definitely recognized and you get out of the organization as much as you put in. I look forward to growing with this organization and the self gratifying aspect of making a difference. I'm very thankful to be part of this family. We have a great time together on and off of the job.

Cons

Though the cons seem very few to me, but since I have to name something I would say the lack of company transportation. We use our personal vehicles when traveling under 500 miles round trip, but we do get reimbursed for our mileage.

Pros

As a human resources professional, I have never worked with a company more committed to its human capital, its employees. This management team is committed to building a culture based on vibrant creativity, fun and above all creative genius! The energy you feel when you walk in the door is so refreshing that you can't help but love this place. The company even recently established a "Fun Fund" in which it gives its employees money each month to do something fun together....today we are going on a skeet shoot. Trust me, this is one company you'll adore!!

Cons

The cons of working at this company are that of any small, growing company. Any cons are purely growing pains but we all work together to work it out. The management team is very open and transparent and admits mistakes. They know they don't know everything and rely on the team to succeed where they lack. Mistakes or negative are usually quickly corrected and worked out.

Pros

If you can work autonomously, there is a lot of freedom with this company. You are exposed to a lot of different systems and customers. There are plenty of challenges, and opportunities to learn and grow as a systems integrator / consultant. I also felt that the owners do all they can to make the right business decisions for the company, own up to their mistakes, and make personal sacrifices to do the right thing. I feel that they are methodically growing a profitable business which delivers quality services to its customers. They are not rushing to inflate their portfolio or pocket books. As an employee, I felt truly valued, fairly compensated, and that my loyalty and hard work were rewarded accordingly. I always saw effort and planning into career developmental plans for employees, incentives for training and industry certification, tracking and rewarding performance, and improving benefits. Oh, and the company provided laptops are really nice.

Cons

Because of the nature of the business and the size of the company, everyone tends to be scattered between the Lake Charles and Lafayette offices, and various customer sites. This creates a situation where some of the less experienced guys may get stuck on a problem requiring some hands on assistance from a mentor, and not have it immediately. That is not necessarily a bad thing. This situation can be an exercise in character building for the mentee. It is probably more frustrating from a customer stand-point if a major deadline is approaching. A few growing pains here and there, but that is the case for most small businesses. The methodical growth of this company seems to be aimed at minimizing these.
