Pros
-Amazing and considerate co-workers who all try to make the best of a rough situation
Cons
-Unprofessional, inept, myopic and careless managers who have the tendency to be vindictive, petty and mean -Leadership style fluctuates between micromanaging and aloof -No professional growth, inconsistent/substandard (and often confusing and contradictory) direction and unsupportive attitudes -Stagnant atmosphere from management that belittles and smothers attempts to present new ideas or insights on stories (it gets rather dull to write the same story several times over the course of a year) -Stressful and dispiriting work environment for staff with high turnover, especially those who work for the Editor (and self-appointed CCO) -Agist and sexist (frequent criticisms of millennials and undervaluing/condescending attitudes toward women) -Deny raises/promotions for arbitrary reasons, threaten to take away promised promotions as a means of control -Terrible benefits, especially vacation time (only five days accrued over the year that don't roll over, and you only get boosted to 10 days after three years). -No active HR department
