You are just an indentured servant working for the master that could be humiliated/kicked out at any moment. The division is run just like a Cotton/Sugar plantation complete with Master/Mistress and an Overseer. The master is the son of the fonder of the company who sold this business through a bunch of machinations to SPX and pocketed the money. The son is still under the impression that the division belongs to him and runs it like his private fiefdom treating people anyway he likes. Those who are in the good books of the master are treated well but everyone else gets raw deal including compensation. Don't even dream of getting Stock Options - those are reserved for the select few. I wish there was something good to say about the place but if you can't find anything else, get on board and enjoy the pain and humiliation.
