Pros
Long legacy of industry experience, Highly tenured engineering and sales staff. Market brand leader in many countries. (Especially Marley in the USA)
Cons
Since SPX acquired UDI (and Marley), this company's value has mostly declined. Top management from nearly all competitors is comprised of former Marley employees who were disenfranchised by current of former executives. This HIGHLY engineered, technical company has not been led by an industry-experienced technical leader in almost two decades. Despite efforts by many current executives to shore up the bleeding, the existing company is not running a scaleable or sustainable model - it is positioned for divestment. (It was already spun out with the other non-growth "dog" companies in SPX last year. Morale is incredibly low, and no substantial investment is being made to ensure the long term stability of the company.
