Pros
The general expectation for employee performance across almost every department is extremely low. Virtually no retribution for not working or doing the bare minimum; and no bonus makes it even less motivating. Incompetent middle management makes it a breeze if you can just float away and collect your paycheck twice a month. Many thanks to the "personal lives" of most managers and leaders for making this possible.
Cons
Terrible place to start your career. If you work in Finance/Accounting or any other administrative department, you are in for some shell shock when you move on to your next role. The business systems here are all outdated and the technical proficiency at this Company is non-existent. Lots of favoritism and tuchy kissing. Tons of unqualified "lifers" promoted to positions they did not earn. The rest are hired externally from a narrowly defined Chicago circle of interrelationships. Promotions do not happen here. Compensation is very below market, benefits are not good. Huge incentives for doing bare minimum or waiting to get fired (which will probably never happen) if you exist within the staff through entry-level management level. However, if your mindset is in the 80's and your looking to up your acting skills - this is you place to be.
