I interviewed with SMC3 several weeks ago, completing three interviews in a week and receiving an offer after the third. As is industry common practice, I responded to the offer email gently trying to negotiate a higher salary. They had offered me $10k less than what a male colleague of mine who works there is making, which is not surprising given I am a woman in the tech industry, and we are often underpaid. In response to me asking for the same amount a man was making, they immediately rescinded the offer completely, seemingly turned off that I would try and advocate for myself during the interview process. I would not recommend anyone apply to this company, as they may very likely treat you the same as they treated me. They do not want female candidates who are brave enough to ask for equal pay of their male peers.
