Pros

Good teaching resources and materials Well maintained Fellow teachers are supportive.

Cons

Long hours, no break. The "lunch break" you have is with the kids and you have to still manage and takecare of them during this time. Not allowed to sit in the classroom, even if you have a full day of back to back classes. The few free lessons you have is filled with completing administrative tasks. You often have to take work home since the your work day doesn't have enough time blocked out for administrative work and lesson planning. If you not from America and so happen to be brown, don't expect to get the same salary and quality accommodation as those who are. Even if you are more qualified and experienced than them. If you fall ill to the point of being hospitalized because you on your feet nonstop at work and so you suddenly struggle to walk- don't expect management to take responsibility. In fact, you should miraculously recover within a day or be expected to be let go. Fellow teachers are supportive because they are in the same struggle as you.
