Pros

Some pros would be that they have a brand new office with some amenities and a parking garage. The company likes to hire people straight out of university so there is a young culture on most sales teams. Pre-pandemic they served regular breakfasts, boxed lunches from restaurants all around town, and sometimes mid-day coffee breaks/ snack breaks. They give great pats on the back.

Cons

I could name off a list of typical cons that you would see from most sales companies so I'm not going to do that but they were there. My biggest con was how the company made me feel in the end. I was just a number and the company just tries to get as much out of you as they can. I was asked to my face for constructive feedback to "make my job easier" year after year and the only thing I saw were changes that benefited the top level. They were serving me not great stuff and telling me it was great stuff. Applications were not updated, sales processes were not streamlined, employee amenities slimmed down and I kept getting more and more quota, hitting target, and making less money. If management or directors spoke up to executives about these changes they were seen as against the status quo. Typically these people did not last in their role and moved on to other departments or companies all together. For being a female, minority owned company the lack of diversity in C level and director roles is interesting too. There is also no maternity leave or paternity leave. Overall the constant restructuring and compensation changes year after year kept me on edge. I started to realize how unhappy I was with the roadblocks that were actually making my job harder to do. The pandemic was the final straw for me to leave. SHI will tell you that I left because of the pandemic's "great resignation" but it honestly started way before.

Pros

Great place to work for especially for those in information technology looking to learn more from software and hardware vendors. The meet and greets + lunch and learns help you learn more about the products and services they provide.

Cons

None, I’ve had a positive experience with them!

Pros

Work from home, paid for career development trainings/certifications, and depending on your role, flexible hours

Cons

-Management/Senior Leadership teams are very disorganized and often change processes several times throughout the year, without consulting the teams that would be impacted -Tools are extremely outdated -What mattered to senior leadership was the velocity of closing projects, vs quality of delivery -Extremely valid criticism was often ignored -Very difficult to get promoted -SHI loves automating everything they can, so a lot of times, work ends up feeling very tedious and repetitive -Day to day work very often includes tedious process approvals from management, slowing down pace of work with no real feedback given during the approval process -Met a lot of people who were great, but met far more who are toxic -Everything feels escalated even if the “issue” is manageable -EXTREMELY micromanaged
