Pros

Starting salaries are in market range

Cons

WFH Policy: If the current policy wasn't so archaic and depressing for employees, it would almost be laughable. Despite overwhelming support, upper management has refused to update the policy, which currently allows someone to work from home one day a week, ONLY if they live 20+ miles from campus. They cite that we're "better together" without any elaboration or explanation. It's very much a "butts in seats" culture. Sustainability: While Fisk has been flying around the world, posing for pictures and swimming with garbage, the HQ offices switched to reusable bags at the company store and installed recycling containers just within the last year. Prior to that, everything went right in to the garbage. With the company waxing poetic about improving the earth, you would think that they'd support reducing the emissions it produces driving to the office 5 days a week. Salary/Bonus/Promotion: Starting salaries are good, but the bonus structure and COL raises are not. Forced rankings create frustration and resentment among employees. Raises are minimal, even if you score high. Promotions are hard to come by, can take a long time, and are often seen as political. Covid Response: Embarrassing. Went through multiple rounds of attempting to force employees back in to the office while numbers were skyrocketing during the holiday season. Unsure why we are being forced back to the office now, instead of waiting until the vaccine is available to everyone.

Pros

You will not be bothered by people talking to you, benefits seem okay.

Cons

Don’t expect to be trained on anything. Management will expect you to figure things out on your own, request your own accesses and figure out what you need without any guidance. They’ll send people to you for questions on how to do stuff within your first couple days, not having taught you how to do those things.
