Pros
If you are new to HR, it is: - Good exposure to HR policies and recruitment procedures. - Good exposure to meeting different kinds of people in the course of the job
Cons
- Upper management likes to micro manage staff - Lots of politics and backstabbing. - High turn over rate for certain positions - People not happy if you leave on the dot - Salary remunerated is unjustifiable and peanuts. - HR Department short on manpower and hence slow to make final offers, losing potential candidates and wasting the effort of fellow colleagues sourcing for candidates to fill the role. - Given old Windows 98 computers and expected to work miracles on it. - At one period, had to even share computers and expected to perform. Efficient indeed.
