Pros

I was self managed assign to Chaney Material haulers Introducing a new engine for Petebilt the MX 2010 a fleet of 82 trucks, Main shop was in Rhome one in Weatherford and Godley Texas. I created a strategy by moving to Keene Texas so as i reported in Rhome i would hit one of the others if any problems arise or on the way back home. I did it all while keeping our client happy after 4 years customer repurchased The new MX13 total units 100

Cons

Pro rated work individuals had to search for work, i had to help my follow co-workers because i knew how to find work so much that i could assign tech in areas that i couldn't be. another con was after hour road calls or isolated areas while battling the elements, No concern or worries of our safety

Pros

Very little micro-management and senior leadership actually listens to engineer feedback. The pay and ability to work remotely was also great.

Cons

You may end up wearing multiple hats. While this can be daunting at first, the experienced gained was invaluable.

Pros

If you like working 24/7/365 you will do great here.

Cons

Upper management is out of touch, using earned PTO is frowned upon, turnover is very high company wide. 401k match is abysmal, PTO is less than market average, no sick time until first anniversary, expensive healthcare premiums.
