Pros

- Good co-workers. Most staff seem to genuinely care about the work they do. - Collaboration among departments is mostly positive and staff try to support one another to accomplish objectives and fulfill client expectations. - Client relations are a central concern and the staff as a whole do quality work for clients -- from traditional media to digital. - Fairly relaxed work environment, good benefits, a nice office space.

Cons

- A tangible void between account executives / VP suite and those fulfilling for clients - in disposition and, obviously, compensation, as in most agencies where client relations and sales are rewarded disproportionately to production / fulfillment roles. - Essentially no project management. Agency management has a very reactive, 'drop everything' approach to getting work done for clients. Frenzied, scattered dynamics most of the time. Projects are assigned and pushed off in favor of who is shouting the loudest to those 'managing'. Considering this, you are expected to treat everything as a high priority with no real hierarchy of importance in fulfilling on most projects. - Scope creep in your role is real and your only incentive in meeting the fluctuating and competing expectations is keeping your job. - From the CEO, expect little more than a languid disposition to the work that you do. No leadership or concern about your role in growing his company; only a 'get it done - do it better' mentality. - Salaries are well below even regional averages in certain departments.

Pros

Surrounded by professionals who want the best, expect the best, and will help you to be your best. The CEO and management team invest in their team, and Rumor really is a team. Many companies I've worked before demand respect, lead with fear and treat you as if you're just a number. Rumor couldn't be more opposite. Everyone's opinion is valued and encouraged, employee's lead the culture, while management upholds the culture and protects it with careful hiring. Rumor is a growing company and like most, the transition of roles and responsibilities can be hard for some to adjust to who "like the old way best". With the growth have come huge benefits such as increase in vacation time and personal time, and employees now get their birthday off paid + (12) other paid holidays the agency closes for. Not to mention full paid medical benefits FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY with a network accepted all over the state! Rumor isn’t a place to work, it’s where careers begin.

Cons

Agency life in general is high stress and fast paced. If that's something you aren't cut out for, reconsider your career goals.

Pros

Genuinely supportive coworkers who try to help one another.

Cons

The internal environment within the Integrated Media function was challenging due to the communication approach used by senior leadership in that area. In many team interactions, the tone could feel tense, overly direct, or reactive. This made day-to-day collaboration less comfortable and created an atmosphere that often felt more pressured than supportive. There were also times when feedback and direction were delivered in ways that felt abrupt or inconsistently toned. These fluctuations made it more difficult to maintain steady communication or feel fully aligned on expectations as situations evolved. Overall, the leadership style contributed to an internal dynamic that was more critical than constructive. These observations reflect my personal experience and are shared in the hope of providing useful perspective to others evaluating the work environment.
