Pros
From a high level, the company has worked hard to come up with a clear path forward for their services and products. There was a time where things seemed up in the air, but everything has landed and there's a clear focus and direction now. The work, for the engineering team, is challenging but not grueling. While at one time we were pushed very hard for a short period of time, the company has made significant strides to protect our work/life balance. Working from home is not an issue at all. At one point the company had intended to bring people back to the office after the COVID lock down ended, but they agree that we are simply more productive working from home anyway. It's a shame, though, because Rouse spent a considerable amount of money upgrading our office just before the lock down started. Pay is definitely competitive. So are the benefits, especially with a 50% match on 401Ks. Time is flexible as we have a lot of workers all over the world in different time zones. We make it work.
Cons
Most of my concerns with the company have been resolved over time. After Richie Brothers acquired Rouse, they put a considerable amount of investment into our resources to ensure we can continue moving forward smoothly. But if I had to nit-pick, I would say maybe there's too many meetings. But what engineering team doesn't have too many meetings?
