Pros
This internship gave me great insight into what working in PR and Media Relations looks like. Interns assist with real work, and are never asked to get coffee or anything like that. Work consists mostly of research, maintaining media lists, creating media clips, putting together briefing books and the likes.
Everyone at the office was very kind. The President is very personable and always greeted each intern by name. I appreciated that! My direct supervisors were also very kind, helpful and always willing to answer any questions I had.
Interns are invited to all office parties and even into some meetings.
Cons
This is a very very quite office environment and I had very little interaction with others throughout the workday. This was a con for me but may be a pro for others.
The work I was assigned was a bit scattered, and did not track a specific campaign or client from beginning to end. I tended to have a lot of dead time between projects.
