Pros

Starting salary in line with MBB. Good avenue into private equity. Kind and supportive consultants and senior consultants. This creates a positive culture at the office. Small office with 30-40 consultants which makes it cozy and you get to know everyone well.

Cons

Salary trajectory is weak unless fast promotions. Partners say that promotions are faster than competition but this is a lie. Work life balance does not exist l. Project managers work weekends. Business development work finishes after 22. Partners are poor role models in terms of work life balance, typically working to midnight and expecting the same from everyone else.

Dear colleague, thank you very much for your review. Regarding work-life balance, we are aware this can be challenge at times in consulting. However, with the launch of our New Ways of Working initiative and several other initiatives such as replacement days off, project commitments and bottom-up assessments, we consistently keep up with this matter. In our anonymous employee surveys, the development of our New Ways of Working initiative is usually highlighted as particularly positive. In order to understand your individual situation better and find a solution, we would like to encourage you to reach out to your local or global HR team.

Pros

Good culture Great mix of work (lots of strategy / interesting projects) Good opportunity

Cons

Promotion cycle can be slower than some peer companies (RB does not have a strong up or out model, which helps some people and hurts others)
