Pros

generally speaking, management culture is more positive than in most restaurants and there does seem to be a healthy amount of promoting within and job advancement.

Cons

they claim often and loudly to be a different sort of restaurant group, that they take care of their employees, etc. but when it really comes down to the brass tacks, they still participate in the same exploitative restaurant industry foolishness. where other restaurants (that do not have nearly the clout or revenue of RFR) are upping their game post-Covid by actually paying their employees, offering benefits to part time staff, or adding automatic gratuity to all guest checks to ensure their staff are compensated, RFR continues to rely on their customer base to pay their employees for them. when they do actually pay a wage, it’s laughably low for a restaurant group that is so wildly successful. $5.15/hr for a service assistant, whose wage is then supplemented by other FOH staff tips (yeah, their unpaid employees get to pay their other unpaid employees, hooray). they do this while sending all new hires to an orientation in which they ensure everyone that they bring in over 100 million in revenue every year and that you too can get a crumb of that pie, i guess. i honestly would be fine with this if they just weren’t so laughably hypocritical about it.
