Pros

There are none. The SEO Managers are amazing. The team in general are great and eager to learn. That's it.

Cons

Everything else. The CEO is horrible to the team. There is no structure or processes in place at all. The CEO and his little sidekick don't want roadmaps for clients to be implemented, and instead overload everyone with adhoc tasks meaning you're unable to actually deliver any quality work. The CEO is vile, hostile, abuse, aggressive, and does not like change. He gets people in for a month or two, and then gets rids of them once he has lots of ideas from them. He then forces them out of the company, claims he fires them, and then calls them the weakest link on a company call every morning. Avoid this place at all costs.

Pros

Money, remote work, decent (but rushed) training. Team switched on if rude/unfriendly (some grace given due to culture of fear).

Cons

Unstable, abusive CEO who is openly racist in morning team calls that anyone could record. Seems to take a sadistic pleasure in catching people out. Case in point: yelling in a rage at a senior member of staff on the team call in front of their subordinates over a typo (that was not there...). The HR person's microaggressions and coded language, instigating and joining in bullying of current and former staff.

Pros

Remote working. Good benefits (gym membership, prescription glasses etc)

Cons

Before accepting this role, be aware that the CEO’s volatile behaviour can create a highly demoralising work environment. Verbal abuse, public humiliation in front of clients, job threats, and unprofessional conduct such as swearing during Zoom calls or on Slack are common occurrences. Rather than trusting and empowering the team, he often dismisses their expertise, leaving employees feeling undervalued and incapable of performing their roles. While I initially loved my job, by the end, I felt completely drained and disheartened. I sincerely hope he reflects on this feedback and makes meaningful changes, as many of us hold evidence of his behaviour, which could eventually have serious consequences.
