Pros

Beautiful restaurant concepts with high design standards. Some team members bring strong operational experience and a fast-paced mindset.

Cons

Very poor work-life balance. The company culture is based on overworking people without strategic direction or long-term planning. Leadership lacks empathy and people management skills.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts — feedback like this helps us grow, and we genuinely appreciate your candor. We're sorry your experience didn't reflect the environment we work so hard to create. At RDG, we want every team member to feel supported and valued. We do want to offer a little context for anyone reading this. As a 24/7 operation that grew significantly this year with two new restaurant openings, there are moments where scheduling requires extra coordination, and we appreciate the patience and dedication our teams bring during those times. Our culture is something we believe in deeply — and it's part of what has led to RDG being recognized as a Great Place to Work two years running. We always welcome an open conversation and hope you'll feel comfortable reaching out directly. We wish you nothing but the best going forward.

Pros

As a Food Runner, I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that keeps me active and helps me improve my multitasking skills. I appreciate the teamwork involved, as I work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to ensure excellent service. The position also allows me to interact with guests and contribute to a positive dining experience. Additionally, I have gained valuable knowledge about food, menu items, and restaurant operations. Finally, this role has helped me develop important skills such as communication, time management, organization, and problem-solving, which support my professional growth.

Cons

One challenge of working as a Food Runner is the physically demanding nature of the job, which requires being on my feet for long periods and carrying heavy trays throughout the shift. Another challenge is the fast-paced environment during busy hours, which can be stressful and requires strong multitasking and time-management skills to ensure guests receive their food promptly.
