Easy tasks, but poor scheduling and low pay - Front End Cashier Riesbeck Food Markets Employee Review

Flexible schedule, and good treatment from the company as a whole.

Not enough pay relative to other grocery stores.

Clear expectations and great customers. Clear opportunities for growth within company. Existing employees receive first priority in hiring for available positions. Very accommodating for school schedules, second jobs and retirees.

Poor management. Paid just over minimum wage despite working there for nearly two years and receiving promotions to other departments and working fulltime (despite being hired as a part-time employee). Scheduling is a bit of a hassle. Some of the managers are on a power trip and the store operator can be flat out disrespectful. I was a star employee and was a favorite, so I was treated well. But I saw many people be treated poorly and I don’t believe that’s right.
