Pros
They train you themselves with some of the best professionals in the industry. Excellent discounts on products. Various opportunities to move up in position if desired. Overall good teams of fellow employees. Recive commission pay on a scale depending on output of work. Large network of other goldsmiths to rely and seek guidance from. Head goldsmith of company fights for you to receive adequate equipment, training, work life balance, and adequate pay.
Cons
Vacation time is locked out from mid November to early March for busiest time of year. Don't expect to get holidays off. Very limited holidays that are given off through out year. Very likely required to work weekends. Large demand of incoming work so constantly having to keep up production and be mindful of stock, supplies, and time management. Do not expect down time. Even the slower parts of the sales seasons are packed full with incoming repairs. Clothing will get ruined, just the nature of the beast.
