Pros

Great comradery within the teams Global company with pride of the brand

Cons

The culture here is terrible and keeps getting worse. Everything is driven by corporate and the people making decisions have no clue what is actually happening in Oxford. They change PTO, schedules, and priorities based on what works for them, and the employees are expected to just deal with it. They shut down Jacksonville, moved people around, and got rid of a lot of good employees along the way. One of the biggest mistakes was letting go of the woman who was basically running this plant. She wasn't everyone's favorite because she held people accountable, but at least she knew what was going on, walked the floor, talked to employees, and cared about getting results. If there was a problem, she addressed it. Now it feels like nobody owns anything. The current leadership team is disconnected from the operation. There are leaders who rarely come to the floor, don't talk to supervisors or hourly employees, and don't understand the challenges people are dealing with every day. We're losing money, working weekends constantly, and spending more time reacting than planning. Operations gets blamed for everything while planning does whatever they want with little accountability. Employees are burned out and morale is the lowest I've seen it. HR is completely out of touch with what is happening in the plant. Concerns get ignored, favorites get protected, and employees are expected to stay quiet. Then corporate comes in for town halls and acts like everything is great when everyone on the floor knows otherwise. There are still good people here trying their best, but most of them feel like nobody cares about Oxford anymore.

Pros

2x WFH Annual merit & bonus eligible Same level colleagues are great to work with Company wide events and several town halls Summer Fridays (start at 2pm) Free products from overstock

Cons

Upper management is toxic, political, and protected by HR Limited promotions (to be promoted means to see how much additional work you can take on vs. making a difference at this place) and no career planning A sense of toxic competition amongst peers is created through direct comparisons Extremely high expectations and get reprimanded if make a mistake once No accountability so everyone points fingers at each other when something bad happens; tense unprofessional arguments during meetings; hearing upper management make negative comments about their own team or others because they decide to go home at the reasonable 5pm or take vacation time when it inconveniences them Company stuck in its old ways; no real strategy to pushing the business to a better position but just refining targets to make things work somehow Multiple outdated systems and technology
