Pros

Small companies, well organized, ambitious. Management endeavors to be to transparent.

Cons

I worked as a software engineer led by the Chief Product Officer who is a c-suite individual with known violent anger management problems. While having a discussion this individual exploded and began to break items. When reporting this to a superior (the Chief Executive Officer) only then did I learn that this individual (the Chief Product Officer) had history of such behavior and that he actually had thrown a telephone at someone in the past. I can assure you all that is stated above is true. I resigned my position because I was afraid to continue working with said individual (the Chief Product Officer). If you are a software developer it is likely that you will encounter this individual (the Chief Product Officer) and I can only hope you take steps to protect your physical and mental health.

I’m Eric Boggs, CEO at RevBoss. I respectfully disagree with story submitted by the reviewer and have provided important additional context below. I welcome a conversation with the reviewer — he knows how to contact me. — Glassdoor has removed several posts by this reviewer — including posts with outright fabrications and personal insults. — The accused individual indeed threw a keyboard in anger -- that was wrong and he shouldn't have done it. That said -- his anger was 100% justified and he should have fired the reviewer on the spot. — There was never a threat of physical violence. Both parties were remote employees, one in the US and one in South America. The “incident” occurred on a video call, with both parties in different hemispheres. They were physically in the same room fewer than 10 times during their time at RevBoss. — After receiving a complaint, I immediately mediated the situation. The individual apologized to the reviewer and both worked together without issue for another ~4 months. I don’t understand how this is suddenly an issue almost a year after the fact. — I’ve worked with the accused individual for many years over two companies and I would 100% work with him again, as would I suspect all of his RevBoss colleagues except for the above reviewer. -- Neither of these people currently work at RevBoss.

Pros

No toxic culture at all. All the teammates are super cool. No micromanagement. They know you're an adult. Opportunity to design and code super cool software solutions

Cons

Not a con but since it's a small team, you have to like to get your hands in all the steps in the engineering processes.

Pros

Remote, friendly and engaged coworkers, well documented SOPs and streamlined tech stack.

Cons

Micromanager team leads and not a great CEO. Gave very “we’re a great big family!” then wasn’t (classic red flag). Many employees were blindsided with layoffs, and this company is basically obsolete now with AI and advanced lead capture tools.
