Pros
The product improves the life of millions of people. Some groups are using best practice C++ software methods like Agile, TDD, Clean Code, SOLID, CI, BDD. Atlassian tools. Nice campus and facilities.
Cons
Company focus on data in the cloud has seen reduction of investment in embedded device development, and disbanding of the algorithms and therapies groups. Interface between devices and the cloud works, but is not well thought out leading to difficulties integrating new devices and implementing new data related features. Lots of medical process red tape to deal with, they have a group responsible for creating read tape and then put KPIs on engineers with no time or authority to remove or clean it up.
