Low morale - Flight Attendant Republic Airways Employee Review

Pros

Flight benefits at 3 major airlines

Cons

Where do I start? The airlines hide behind the Railroad Act and perpetuate a sweatshop mentality with pilots, and especially flight attendants. For all of the training, you could literally qualify for Medicaid and food stamps your first 3-4 years. All of this while a 200 million dollar training facility is being built, and the CEO smiles in your face knowing that he lives in a 2 million dollar house and makes millions per year. I have zero respect for this company

Pros

Travel benefits on American, United, Delta, jumpseat agreements with other carriers and ID travel on most other airlines including international carriers. Great starting experience and introduction to working in aviation.

Cons

Will hire just about anyone, were hiring by video interviews alone at one time, so quality of people varied. Notorious for base closures, got displaced at least 5 times due to base closures. All bases in Midwest and northeast. In the past most bases were in outstations and noncommutable. Low pay.
