Pros
The salaries are very high compared to other advocacy organizations. Benefits are quite generous compared to organizations of comparable staff size. I kept hearing that this organization is very well respected and well known domestically and abroad. I don't have the context based on subject matter to know whether this is indeed the case.
Cons
This organization is extremely unprofessional and disorganized. I personally experienced this from the interview stage through departure. Basic protocols are missing for so many things. Some teams/groups operate in vacuums. There is nobody on staff with human resources responsibility in their title. This means there is no clear owner of HR matters and nobody to speak to confidentially about HR issues in the office.
