Pros
Company pushes employees to continuously improve all areas of the business. Doing the right thing is heavily supported. The pay is good compared to the area, but is slightly below the industry standard. Extremely fast paced environment and the ratio of process technicians to a specific process area is ~ 2/10:1 where it is more like 35:1 in other process areas overseas for the same company. Lots of perks like an ice cream truck occasionally, BBQ’s and free breakfast on Friday’s.
Cons
Lacking headcount in our department to support the business properly. Management does not develop internal employees AT ALL to move up and in to the open management positions and instead looks outside the business to fill these roles. Upper management has little to no experience in the process areas. Upper management is not trained well to manage. Upper management micro manages heavily. Equipment specific training is lacking and/ or non existent and the facilities training group adds little, to no value in providing any equipment specific training and instead sets up vendor sales pitches and calls it “training”, but the training group is very diligent in forwarding emails you have already received multiple times.
