Pros

When you are in the business of development, it starts with you! I can say that working at Refound has genuinely shifted the way I approach work and how I interact with those around me. There is so much support from my peers and our leadership team. We are committed to making a difference in the workforce, and we can't do it alone.

Cons

Small company still working through ways we can expand our reach and broaden our impact. It takes someone with resilience and a growth mindset to work here. The challenges can feel tough in the moment and will test what you are made of; in the end, the way everyone comes together and the learnings in the process makes it worth it.

Pros

Refound puts a lot of care into creating a great work atmosphere - and it's not just talk. While no one is perfect, leadership does a good job of finding the balance between a human-centric tone while being mindful that it's a business that needs to perform. They also have great benefits and flexible work schedules - esp. for a smaller company.

Cons

Lack of diversity - and this is getting addressed. Being a small team, you need to keep in-mind that you need to be flexible when things change fast.

Pros

Fully remote setup Strong values… in theory

Cons

The leadership team, especially the CEO, does not practice what they preach in Good Authority. Interviews were rushed and disorganized. The second round had no structure—no one asked me questions, and the team spent the time talking about their own unrelated work. When I demonstrated code that directly solved a current business problem, the CEO visibly panicked. No follow-up, no clarity—just silence. The CEO appeared agitated and even physically shaking during the final call. For a company built on emotional intelligence and accountability, this was jarring. There’s a concerning pattern of the CEO criticizing his staff while also displaying erratic, indecisive behavior himself. I left with the impression that leadership craves innovation but isn’t prepared to handle it—or the people who bring it. They made an offer.. then went silent. I responded the same day.
