Pros
- Excellent engineering culture - Strong focus on doing the job right, rather than cutting corners to get features out early - Zero, or extremely low politics. Easy to make friends, harmonious workplace - Flexible work arrangements - Management trust their teams, and likewise I feel a great sense of trust for the management above me
Cons
- Tech leads and principal engineers usually need to participate in out-of-hours support and on-call roster, however we are also supported by engineering managers, and nobody is left to fend for themselves if they need additional support (able to trade roster, able to call in additional help, etc).
