Pros

There’s literally no pros other than their office being located directly off the subway line

Cons

When I say avoid this place like the plague, I mean it. Below are all the cons I’ve personally experienced while working at Redstone: - They bulk fire “lay off” multiple times a year. No employee is safe! They have fired those ranging from Coordinators all the way up to Directors. Like I’m talking 15+ people in the time I worked here. It also looks like they’ve retitled everyone’s job titles who are currently there, most likely to play along with the “restructuring” storyline they tell. - They brag about being named one of “fastest growing companies” but the amount of turnover can not make this true. I’ve worked in both the agency and association side and this company is by far the worst for turnover. Even clients take notice, it’s that bad. I know multiple clients that recently left and one that is planning on leaving Redstone because they can’t deal with them anymore. The worse part is, those who were recently bulk fired have all used the same update on their LinkedIn to announce their departure as if they were told what to write to save face for Redstone. - You will work over 40 hours a week guaranteed; I was pushing 65 a week with the promise from upper management that things would get better, it didn’t! And if you complain too much about this, you will be told it’s the “industry standard” and you should expect it. - They hound on about their “amazing culture” when actually it’s the worst and everyone hates their lives. Sorry, but hosting a summer and holiday party doesn’t make up for the fact that there’s no work/life balance, employees are miserable and the pay is below average. - The environment is SUPER gossipy! If you’re in, you’re in. If you’re not, too bad and you’re the first on the chopping block. The weekly meeting amongst the upper managers is basically spent making fun of and complaining about their direct reports. They have a top small group that are untouchable and everyone else is replaceable to them. - The CEO is never available and off travelling the world but says she’s “working” while there and the President seems in over her head trying to stay float. There are far better agencies and associations to work for downtown - don’t waste your time with this one!

Pros

Working here for a few years and never had a bad experience from management. You need to put your best efforts into your work and management will be happy. Competitive salaries, flexible hours, remote first, great office location, friendly staff and opportunities to travel and work with multiple industries. You learn alot.

Cons

Bad reviews are most likely to be posted than good reviews, which make ratings inaccurate. There are challenges with every business and sometimes tough decisions need to be made. This doesn't make them a bad company in my opinion. If you're great at your work, you will excel. Like every other business, there are busy periods of the year when you might feel like the workload is plenty but there are free periods as well. Support is there if you ask. It's how the events industry work. Not a con - you must be excited and willing to work.

Pros

Any pros that they claim to have are lies. There are a HANDFUL of solid employees still there, but it's only a matter of time. This company WAS good, once upon a time, but it's been a couple of years since those days.

Cons

Management has lost the plot. They do not care about the PEOPLE, they have lost all TRUST with their employees and clients, The only IMPACT they have is negative - they burn out their employees by over assigning them work without hiring more help and under bid on new clients so they can win them but then gouge them at the one year. As for EXTRA MILE - it starts to look like they go the extra mile to cover up their lies and pretend to be far better than they are. If you value your mental health and career in any way, you would avoid this at all costs.
