Pros
None, except for the fact that they pay you. Also the sushi is good and they have a basketball court?
Cons
OK, so honestly this is the worst job I have ever had. Red ventures has a very juvenile and child like environment! As a minority, I have experienced horrible treatment at Red ventures. I was even told by management that, “the reason why you are having so many issues is that many of the people here, have never seen a minority male so well-dressed and well spoken, so as a result you stand out and people talk about you.” I’ve also heard another excuse from management as to why I was having issues there and that was that, “many of the people here are from South Carolina and they still have that prejudiced mindset, so as a result they see you and they are intimidated and don’t know how to take you.” So I’m like, “just because I am a minority and I am well spoken and college educated, that is an excuse for me to experience the issues that I am experiencing?” The answer is NO! Next let’s talk about management. So, where do I begin? The managers at Red ventures are either the college graduates with the low GPA‘s and low aptitudes or the older(in age) call center managers, who have worked at more demanding call centers and couldn’t quite cut it, so they came no red ventures. Now I’m not going to lie there are some managers that know what they’re doing, and actually know how to manage a call center floor, but you have to look really really hard to find them. As a result, this is why they have such a high turnover rate, between the incidents of predjudice, the extreme micromanaging and the really high School environment, it becomes obvious why people constantly leave. I mean you guys are located in Charlotte, and you have another location on the outskirts of Charlotte(which is a large urban area). When there are so many other jobs in the area that treat you a lot better, and are less discriminatory, why would someone settle for a high school environment, when there are so many other options? Red ventures(at the fort mill location) also has a very cliquish old southern feel, with a, “you can’t sit with us mentality,” but the gag is, “how are you going to have that mentality with me, when I am more educated than you?” But for some people Red Ventures is somewhat like a middle ground. I say that meaning, Red ventures is like a place for those kids that dropped out of college, but didn’t want to go back home and feel like a loser, so as a result they took a pitstop at Red ventures. So to summarize, Red Ventures is kind of like that middle place you go to, after you drop out of college, but before you run back home to your parents and friends feeling like a complete loser. At least now you can say, “ hey guys, I’m a college drop out, but look at my shiny new job.”
