Pros
Subsidized cafeteria, nice office exterior, parking garage. Some nice people who haven’t yet drunk the company Kool-Aid. Strong technology and technical expertise. CEO has a great story.
Cons
Salespeople are treated like children. Constantly worried about violating compliance rules, attendance rules, you name it. Listen to every cabasedll, bosses hovering and meeting with salespeople multiple times per week to push numbers. Terrible hours for new employees. Up-selling expensive products to customers they don’t want or need. Bait and switch marketing. And worst of all, demanding private credit information (e.g. SSNs) prior to giving any pricing while falsely claiming that pricing and promotions available are based credit-worthiness, which is primarily untrue. Pricing and promotions are virtually the same for ALL customers, so credit check is not necessary and is used simply to leverage them into buying aforementioned unnecessary products.
