Pros
Highly flexible job. Tips are "good," usually ranging from $10-$20/hr on weeknights and $20-$25 on weekends.
Cons
Would get written up for going into overtime. No opportunity for advancement/raises or full-time hours. Physically demanding work. Never received a paid break, even on 10-12 hour double shifts. Management often overworked good employees and let lazy employees do whatever they wanted. It was not unusual to see most servers standing around in the kitchen on their phones while a few hard-working servers did all the work.
