Pros
Some really great people and solving relatively unique problems.
Recurly moves quick and has high standards. If that sounds great to you, this is a good place to grow your career. There's tons of opportunities, something new is always happening and if you can get ahead of issues and solve problems you will be rewarded.
I see, and participate in, cross team collaboration on a regular basis.
The Technology team does a hackathon every year, so if you're in an engineering roll you'll get to spend a week in person with everyone. "Innovation days" is not just about solving problems, it's also about gelling as a team.
Good benefits, I personally think the IT support is some of the best in the industry (but that's my team, so maybe I'm selling my own book here). But seriously, we try hard to be helpful and supportive.
Leadership is generally quite friendly and approachable. Anyone at the company will take a meeting with you, while silos and tribal knowledge do exist, they aren't walled off.
Cons
Fast pace and accountability aren't for everyone. This is a place to work hard and grow your career. If you're looking for a more relaxed role, this probably isn't for you. Many people work late. You have unlimited PTO and most teams allow freedom to have appointments during the day, but also require that your work gets done, so you may have to put some extra effort in.
