There are some good people there and a few of the projects that came in were interesting. We'd get free lunch once in a while and the company was generous in terms of company outings.
Cons
Teams that sell services are optimised and given free rein to get work in without any thought given to the impact on other teams.
Bonuses not honoured, wages paid late.
Regular cost-cutting limits access to the tools and software needed to do a proper job.
Lack of proper tech equipment - the recycling of the boss' mobiles and tablets for test devices and staff computers.
Never-ending promises that never materialise - office moves, offices in other countries, new computers/equipment for staff, acquiring other companies.
Incompetent staff are kept on despite repeated failure. Some teams show no interest in improving or learning. This has a massive impact on company performance, team cooperation and individual motivation.
