Pros

Great company! The CEO genuinely cares about making sure employees feel connected to and excited about the mission. There was a lot of care put into the onboarding process to make sure I was set up for success. The head of marketing is one of the best leaders I’ve ever worked for - focused, kind and supportive at all times. Work life balance is encouraged and respected. I had a great experience at this company.

Cons

One of the challenges on the marketing side of things is that everything is run through legal to make sure you are in compliance, since technically you are selling financial products. This isn’t a bad thing, it just wasn’t something I was used to coming from other companies that weren’t selling financial products. Once you get used to it it’s easy, and if you ever have any questions, everybody there is so helpful.

Pros

Strong corporate values and culture that prioritizes honesty, integrity and recognizes individual contributions. Fully remote structure allows for a well balanced personal life. Large amount of responsibility given to each position due to the smaller size of the firm. You will be able to make an impact if you desire.

Cons

Fully remote structure may not be for everyone, it makes onboarding difficult if you are an inexperienced or junior candidate. Crowdfunding real estate industry is very sensitive to macroeconomic trends, and therefore there can be large swings in deal flow, profitability, bonus potentials and team structures. This is not necessarily the fault of the company, just the space that they are in and their investor base.
