Pros
Realogy rewards hard work. Bonuses factor in merit and company performance, which has been strong the last few years. It's an inclusive environment with lots of growth potential as they move from a holding company model to more of an operational model. I've seen dramatic improvement in the maturity of my discipline in my time at Realogy, and their agile approach to product development. If you have good ideas substantiated by data, leadership embraces them, no matter where they're coming from. Seeing those ideas come to life and benefit customers is rewarding. It's easy to align with strategic initiatives at Realogy, and there are some really smart people in key positions that will continue to navigate the real estate industry in a way that respects agents and brokers and delivers value to consumers. Across the organization, there's a collaborative spirit and there are some genuinely great folks to work with. On top of that, it's really easy to empathize with the people you're building things for - whether that's real estate agents, brokers or folks buying and selling homes. More recently, how the company adapted to a remote model in the pandemic and provided a more progressive work/life balance policy was appreciated, especially as a parent. Leadership also introduced a policy to suggest no internal meetings are held on Friday, so there's stability in a day of the week where people can concentrate on their work without interruption or context switching. In terms of long term outlook, leadership has managed to shed a lot of debt on their balance sheet, so I anticipate they'll be able to navigate any economic or housing headwinds better than their competitors.
Cons
A few of the 3rd party platforms Realogy uses to support the business can introduce bottlenecks at less than opportune times when hiring, onboarding, provisioning or receiving access to business systems. 401k matching hasn't returned since the pandemic started. People who do things well often get spread thin, which makes it difficult for others to collaborate effectively with them. They're competing for time with someone on meetings all day every day.
