Pros
One of the very few publishing opportunities in San Diego area. Exposure to (and samples from) most of the major publishers, because of the distribution arm. Get some experience and move on.
Cons
Leadership is very clique-driven, only the favorites advance. Management is emotionally-driven, not fact- or results-driven. Unqualified people are allowed to continue making mistakes and coasting by, while the qualified are worked to the bone. Corporate only knows what they're told, which tends to be sugar-coated. No HR on site. Pay is very low considering the workload and location.
