Razor Group Response
3yThank you for leaving us a review. We appreciate you bringing your perspective to our attention.
First and foremost, we would like to apologize and let you know that we have shared your feedback within our management team in order to drive improvement and ensure we can avoid these situations in the future.
However, we would like to elaborate on some of your points. At Razor Group, we want to create a culture where every contribution is heard and respected. As a young company, the management team likes being involved in all business topics and decisions to point out solutions, provide guidance and keep the overview. Nonetheless, this doesn’t mean you don’t have a say.
We appreciate all employees who go above and beyond for Razor Group. We are currently in a phase where we are transitioning from an extremely fast-paced environment to a more structured work environment. This means a change in culture and requires all employees, including leadership, to drive this change. There are no specific KPIs or policies related to equity. It is handled on an individual basis. For now, it is strongly linked to promotion as an additional reward or recognition for good performance.
Our People Team’s door is always open. We are here to fight for you while being a neutral party in the case that you need one. There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes. In addition to recruiting we are focused primarily on long-term projects like improving onboarding or introducing more feedback cycles. We want to enhance our visibility and make sure all Razorians know we are always open for feedback and we encourage you to come to us for support.
We do not tolerate any kind of favoritism and strive to maintain a merit-based culture based on performance. Employment at Razor Group is based upon individual merit and qualifications directly related to professional competence. We strictly prohibit unlawful discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, age, sexual orientation, or any other characteristics protexted by law.
Boundaries are important, we encourage all of our employees to set them. We do not want you to be contacted during your vacations if you do not wish to be. Please make sure you update your Slack status and set up an automatic absence email. Moreover, communicate with your team. Communication is key to making sure people know exactly when and how to contact you. Use implemented feedback sessions to have open conversations about employee performance and expectations on both sides.
Finally, we would very much appreciate your help and invite you to share feedback internally with the People Team (team-people@razor-group.com) as the described behavior is not what we strive to practice at Razor Group and we rely on each other to uphold the highest standards.
Best,
Your People Team
