Pros

Living and working outside the city (Philadelphia) in Valley Forge makes a lot of sense to avoid the city tax. The firm is right there with the rest of the 202 corridor.

Cons

First, don't let the charming bravado of RP’s CEO or the original co-founder, not to mention the RP website, fool you. The firm’s marketing does not match reality, and competing firms are superior in terms of work sophistication, bench strength, and footprint. Certain individual attorneys in the firm defy this generalization, but they number only two or three. In addition, every member of the partnership hoards work. The firm culture appeared to encourage this bad behavior. The “management committee” works in the dark and could not easily be influenced by common sense business practices. The associate population is sparse and they work nearly exclusively for select partners. In addition, the juvenile politics amongst the administration, paralegals, and secretaries resulted in senseless inefficiencies.

Pros

A new to DC firm located in a great location close to major metro stations.

Cons

Exceptionally poor management, medical plan in DC is a joke especially if you don't mind paying anywhere from 3k- 6k out-of-pocket for single coverage or up to 12K for family before any benefits are paid. I understand they have a slightly better plan in Valley Forge, PA.
