Pros

They buy lunch on Friday's.

Cons

Highly unethical company, both to vendors and employees alike to the extent of being borderline illegal. They have paid for reviews on this site, prior to them paying for reviews they were 1-2 stars on their rating. Beware of the facade of a fun company culture because there is not one at this place. Compensation is ok, however benefits are terrible. No 401k plan, minimal employer contributions, etc. The senior management is either blind or does not care about employees, the CEO has no clue what he's doing or how to run a business. If you can get in with the right crowd, you'd do ok, if not (which is most employees) you will be miserable. CIO promotes unethical decisions and tries to micromanage all aspects of the business. Is very combative and difficult to work with.

We're sorry that you didn’t advance your career and/or meet your desired career goals while here at RapidScale. RapidScale was once a startup company that grew quickly, thanks to the hard-working colleagues that you most likely were. Startup environments are certainly not for everyone, and I regret that we couldn't make it work for you. As of August 2018, RapidScale is owned by Cox Enterprises, a $20B family-owned company that has won numerous employee satisfaction awards, in addition to the “Best Work Environments” award RapidScale won in 2017. Since the acquisition, we’ve added numerous additional benefits for our employees that can only come with the size of a $20B company, including unrivaled healthcare coverage, 401k matching, unlimited PTO, and much more. In addition, our senior management team has grown and changed immensely since this feedback was provided, and we’ve added many seasoned C-level business leaders who today help run the business. We are still entrepreneurial, operating inside of the Cox ecosystem, but no longer function in that ever-changing startup mode that many thrive in, but that may not have been the right fit for you. Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. We meet weekly to improve the culture here and are always looking to get better. Your feedback has been invaluable in making us a better company.

Pros

From day one I was treated as a real contributor rather than just an intern. I had genuine hands-on exposure to enterprise cloud environments supporting actual clients across Microsoft 365, Citrix VDI, VMware vCloud Director, and Mimecast. The opportunity to lead a knowledge base quality assurance project for a company-wide ServiceNow migration was a career highlight. Several colleagues were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in my growth. The work is meaningful and the technology stack is impressive.

Cons

Manager engagement with interns was inconsistent. Communication around intern performance, expectations, and potential full time opportunities could be more structured and transparent throughout the program rather than only at the end. Interns are left to figure out their standing largely on their own which can be stressful especially when the internship is coming to a close.
