Pros
Rakuten Travel Xchange is a fantastic company to be part of. The leadership team is human, approachable, and genuinely prioritizes internal growth and development. There’s a lot of autonomy, and new ideas are always welcomed, especially when it comes to scaling the business internationally. One of the highlights has been the cross-functional culture. A great example was the sales and supply business camp in Tokyo, which really showed how much the company values collaboration and teamwork. Rakuten Group as a whole is one of the largest ecosystems in the world, with a clear vision from the current CEO. The company culture is also rooted in the Five Principles for Success, which guide daily work and decision-making: 1. Always improve, always advance. 2. Professionalism of the highest order, maintaining high ethical standards. 3. Hypothesis → Practice → Validation → Action. 4. Maximize customer satisfaction. 5. Get things done with an entrepreneurial spirit. Overall, RTX is a company that balances strong values with real opportunities for growth, and I’m proud to recommend it.
Cons
The pace can be very fast, and teams/structures shift quickly as the business grows, which might feel challenging for some.
