Pros

RSM is a good place to start your career; they train you and you have a bit more structure before you are thrown into the deep end. I had a total of 6 weeks of training, two in Chicago and 4 in Denver. This is mainly because I'm in a highly technical role, which requires more knowledge of the system. Training has it's pros and cons, it's long hours, but you get to network and you get actual hands-on experience before you are in front of clients. You get more autonomy on this team, mainly because you are responsible for every aspect of the tickets you will get. It's a blessing and a curse. You will learn a lot, but you will be on your own for a lot too. If you have a good team, people will help you. But the higher up in the company you go, the less actual help you will receive. The majority of people in this company are kind and helpful, but the majority are also stressed and have very limited availability. It is a consulting firm after all.

Cons

Numbers are everything; it depends on your leadership and your team, but at the end of the day, if you don't have the billables, you are going to be in the next round of layoffs. Layoffs (in my short time at the company) come about every Fall and Spring, so keep your resume up to date and make good connections in the company.

Pros

Flexible WFH, free public transportation, down to earth employees, partially because most of the employees here graduated from average or below average colleges

Cons

Not competitive salaries, low 401k contributions, low bonus target. Last year salary increased by 0.5% while inflation increased 4%. Top management focusing on margins and using Indian team. Extremely uneven salaries ranges among same level and similar performance. Seriously, I overheard people talking about public accounting in an airport one time and he said good ones go to big 4, but if you are really desperate, go to RSM.
