Pros
I feel like it's a due diligence to write a review on this to inform future employees. I'd advise on reading previous reviews (2017, 2018) as they are quite true. Pros: 1) I can now see potential growth as RPM got bought by a large fin-tech company. May take years to implement new processes and technology. 2) Location - Close to the GO and Subway 3) Insurance Benefits
Cons
1) Management - A company that exemplifies management by walking around. Micro managing at task level and are watching your back majority of the day ensuring you are in your seat for 8 hours. Management favourtizes specific employees and if you aren't on their list they won't even know you're alive, neither, give you credit for your efforts and work. During my employment, I hardly notice any 1 on 1 feedback even though asking for some. Management in my opinion is too busy to even pay attention to their employees, which is a horrible excuse, and should even be managers. 2) Software - Archaiac....enough said. A tech firm that doesn't have the adequate technological resources. Internal software is circa 1980s. 3) Culture - Moderately dry. Long hours with hard working employees who are trying to get through. At times you will take home the stress of work with you. During work hours, very dreadful as some employees frown upon talking and communicating. Minor outings (department specific) I wouldn't say this is a culture for everyone. 4) Pay - relatively low, below market standard, although benefits (medical and health) are quite good for a company this size. 5) Employees - Smart, knowledgeable. Some can be knowledge hoarding.
