Pros
ROAS Media is one of the leading digital agencies out there with more managed spend than many other large MNCs in the paid social space. If you're someone looking to really accelerate your career in the paid advertising space, this will be a great place for you. - Working across a multitude of verticals e.g. fitness, fashion, skincare, SAAS, e-commerce etc. - Managing high ad spend monthly (more room for experimentation and learning) - Flat hierarchy (able to learn and communicate directly with Directors) - Flexibility to take on different functions (Performance, client servicing, marketing etc) - Very experienced and elite team of media professionals
Cons
As with most lean digital agencies, the pace is usually a lot faster. This provides many learning opportunities and avenues, but may not be for everyone. When I first joined ROAS Media, I had previously been dabbling a lot in dropshipping, e-commerce and facebook marketing. I believed that that passion and interest was what helped me to really grow in the company. It wasn't "just another job" for me but a chance for me to re-learn and experience first-hand how brands and businesses were scaled. 2.5 years later, I still don't regret my decision.
Pros
One of the significant advantages was the remote working environment, which allowed for SOME flexibility and a better work-life balance. Additionally, the company offered competitive remuneration, especially for those who negotiated their compensation effectively. However, I'd like to add that beyond the competitive remuneration, there isn't a whole lot of employee benefits specifically for contractors.
Cons
The management's approach to running the business left much to be desired. The CEO's constant pursuit of shortcuts and corner-cutting practices hindered progress and made it challenging to achieve KPIs. This was exacerbated by the lack of proper tools and resources to support employees in their roles, hindering their potential for success. Furthermore, the company's culture suffered due to the predominantly remote work setup. There was little effort invested in fostering a sense of camaraderie among colleagues, leading to minimal communication and interaction beyond work-related matters. The management's lack of transparency added to this issue, as employees were often left in the dark about important company decisions and developments. Another discouraging aspect was the lack of clear opportunities for professional growth. The absence of a well-defined career path left employees uncertain about their future within the organization. Moreover, the management's micromanagement style stifled creativity and limited opportunities for self-expression and innovation. Work discussions were inadequate, with little room for employee input, resulting in a dissatisfying work experience overall.
Pros
The best way to describe working at ROAS Media is you are given the best opportunity in the world to be surrounded by goal-driven people, working with ambitious clients, and the free reigns to develop yourself the way you want to develop your career in the short term, medium term and long term. Being a part of the company's fast and exciting growth, the dynamic between every single person in the team makes this feel like a part of a family, working together towards the same goal, supporting each other whenever help is needed, both professionally and as friends. As the team grew, the family-oriented culture never dissipated as the team continues to encourage new joiners, helping them settle into the team's dynamic culture. Personal and professional growth is also heavily encouraged, assisted by a very strong support system from within the team, whether it comes from the managers or peers of similar level. Adding onto that the fiery ambition for the company to grow further and become the best, surely fuels personal development goals.
Cons
Working in a business that is constantly moving and growing, the team can be a little bit stretched at some points when new businesses development is ahead of hirings. In saying that, plans are usually in place to grow the team further.
