Pros

The projects are very interesting, especially on the pharma side. However, if pharmaceutical modeling interests you, you should look inside the industry itself. The people here are smart and have built some lasting customer relationships.

Cons

It is apparent from the other reviews that everyone experiences the same problems here. Mostly, the management environment is extremely poor and has been for a decade since the company expanded beyond 5 people. Aside from many problems, the founders realize that they have very little management experience but refuse to do anything about it. It mostly manifests in the form of personal and career development, something that no one at the company cares about. Knowledge is not passed on until it is absolutely necessary and no one goes to conferences or actively networks with professionals. The company environment is one of constant panic-mode project execution but with haphazard project planning and management. The executives do not want to be managers, they want to execute projects and will never relinquish control over the details of projects that other people are executing. They do not put forth clear expectations but internally expect that you will do projects exactly as they would, all the while not understanding why you cant do the project in the amount of time that they think they could. The compensation is well below par and benefits are almost non-existent. This is a consulting environment without the benefit of a consulting salary or strong leadership.

Pros

Flexible schedule and some accomplished co-workers

Cons

Glen Ko is unprofessional and one of the most obtuse and abusive of CEO's. He will focus for days on a simple draft email and while he has no comprehension of basic grammar and syntax will berate a given individual over simple sentence structure. When he does not understand a given theme/concept, he becomes argumentative and belligerent. OCD rules at RES. The turnover rate is ridiculous for such a small company. People either leave in disgust or are forced out because they ask to be treated fairly. Quite a few clients pick up on this dysfunction and is testament to the lack of growth. The few people that are able to work in this type of environment simply have few options and do their best to adapt.
