Pros
- Understanding Management - Fast Paced Environment - Diverse and Friendly Co-workers - Sense of Belonging - Efficient Teaching of Different Platforms (Toxicology, Chemistry, etc) - Strong Demonstration of Loyalty to their Workers - Flexible Scheduling - Detail Oriented - Very, very Organized - Management is Accessible and Always On-site - Open Communication Between Workers and Management. This is really, really THE job for anyone starting out in the science field. You'll work in different departments each month once training is complete, which allows you to get your feet wet in different testing platforms. For anyone who wants to work in a laboratory, this is a good place to become acclimated with chemistry, molecular, toxicology, and other testing platforms. Though you're testing patient samples, you are still learning these different tests and systems which can be applied in versatile ways. There is a lot of room for growth. And management is always on-location. If they are not, they are reachable by email or phone if you need them for anything. If you have to leave early for an emergency, or if you complete absolutely everything you can possibly do, just email management and likely they will let you leave. They are incredibly understanding. They also demonstrate extreme loyalty to each other, and the CEO is a wonderful person. A complete opposite to the CEO of the company I was previously employed at. Everyone in management was extremely charming to interact with. I was originally offered a position earlier in the fall, however due to circumstances involving the individual who's post I was to be hired for, I was not taken on as their circumstances changed and they needed their job back. However, they offered to reach out to me should another position become available. And they made good on their word. They will return loyalty with loyalty and openness. I did not work here long. That's only because I realized I wanted to change my career. And because of my openness in expressing this, they were more than willing to wish me luck, as well as offer to keep the dialogue open should anything come up. Definitely give this company a chance. I do not feel you will regret it.
Cons
It can be a lot of information to take in at once, but really its not the worst. Just take notes, and let whoever is teaching you know when you don't understand something. That's the best thing to do. I have to say there really isn't much bad that I can say.
