Pros

Good place to work if you are prepared to accept a modest pay package while towing the corporate line - not uncommon to large financial institutions. If so desired, one could spend many years in low level management branch level positions.

Cons

Managers at the branch level have interest in holding back the careers of employees to stem the flow of turnover. Stories of employees being asked to sign "contracts" to the effect that they will not pursue other positions in the bank for a number of years have been heard of.

Pros

Opportunities to work on enterprise-scale systems with modern tooling and automation initiatives. Excellent collaboration between infrastructure and incident management teams; vendor coordination is efficient. Competitive compensation and benefits package, including solid health coverage and retirement matching.

Cons

Workload spikes during major incidents can challenge work-life balance, especially when on-call.

Pros

Riverside around WTC is pretty nice

Cons

OMG the worst company I've ever been. There are a lot of small groups inside the department, and most of them are mean and rude.
