Hotel is part of a shopping center, the Pruneyard Plaza, so plenty of walking distance dining, shopping and entertainment options. The company's overall plan for the team experience focus is promising, and should help improve the disconnect between employees and Quorum.
Cons
There are serious concerns regarding the treatment of belittling comments or actions towards team members, offensive conduct including dismissive behavior that undermines your contributions to the hotel, to sometimes being publicly criticized in a manner that's unconstructive and deeply demoralizing, to instances of gatekeeping, unequal opportunities, and a lack of support for career advancement. Some of my colleagues were supportive and hardworking, and I valued the opportunity to collaborate with them but there's leadership who's bad behavior is tolerated instead of being dealt with. Most employees would rather wait until they're ready to quit to share their grievances. The hotel culture feels toxic, with a lack of trust between management and staff. Hopefully the company will address these issues soon.
