Pros
Great people, charismatic CEO, "family" atmosphere, good compensation & benefits. Small company that has a refreshing feel compared to being a number in a larger company. Regularly engaging with employees regarding well being, and makes sure to occasionally put together opportunities for company cohesion with happy hours, picnics, and the like (including a yearly vacation, which is wonderful). Corporate Udemy account for training purposes, with compensation for cert completion. Active leadership development cohort.
Cons
"Family" atmosphere largely focused on MD employees, and this otherwise pro is muddied when not being up front to employees about numerous actual family members working for the company (Brother, Son, etc). Confusing technical and financial decision making by back office staff regarding contract delivery. Compensation is good only if bargaining from a position with leverage, not as great otherwise. Career opportunities in VA are very sparse, better in MD. COVID-19 decision making has been confusing, seems like a technology company would embrace work from home a bit more.
